However, there is a stereotype that surrounds this practice that is actually untrue to many women both young and old. For example, there are a lot of men in this world that love getting jewelry just as much as women do.
It is quiet humorous how society has seemed to put a stereotype on women and jewelry. However, men always seem to believe that in order to please a woman that they need to be draped in the finest jewelry that money can buy. Even though most women adore the thought of obtaining an eternity ring, the honest truth is not all women are especially fond of jewelry as society deems them to be.

It is not a bad thing to love wearing jewelry, but women who choose to wear precious jewels and other precious materials as an accessory should not be forced to have to live by a certain stereotype. Society claims that diamonds are a girls best friend. When in reality, companionship and being with a person that they generally care about rank higher in the hearts of women that a simple piece of jewelry.
Antique engagement rings normally mean something special to the woman that is electing to wear it. Therefore, it is relatively common to see a woman that chooses to wear her engagement ring as a way to show the world that she is spoken for. Generally, women will choose to wear jewelry for many different reasons.
There are some women that wear their wedding bands and other types of rings as a respectful way to acknowledge their husbands or their significant others. But, there are other women that love to stand out; therefore they will bathe themselves in the finest jewels that money can buy.
Simply stereotyping a person is wrong, however the judging of others is something that is considered to be human nature. Hopefully, one day this whole stereotypical thing can change, but that day is definitely not today.
